Each Freedom CAN-bus gauge needs 12 volt DC power to operate. Connect the (Red, White, and Black*) power distribution cable to 12 volt DC power.
The OBDII connection does not provide power to the gauge.
*Red - +12 volts keyed ignition [main gauge power]
White - +12 Volt Dash Lighting [pointer lighting]
Black - ground
